Why We Built This Reference
Hanover Park has no single public list of all residents. Records divide between Cook and DuPage counties, while older local material is held by two library districts and the state archives. Property ownership, court parties, historic households, and village files each require a different custodian. We assembled official search routes, office contacts, coverage limits, and access rules into one practical reference.
What the Directory Contains
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
- Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
- Access rules: what Illinois law opens, what stays closed, and how a records request works when something is not online
What Is Outside Our Role
This is a privately run reference site, unaffiliated with Hanover Park, Cook or DuPage County, any Illinois agency, court, or library. Some firm limits apply:
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Hanover Park
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
- We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
- We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, or office detail here is current at this moment
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
